Publishing with Hugo and ncftpput

Hi, currently I am using Hugo to write some small 'articles' on my page. Since I am using a webhoster which wants to much money for SSH access at the moment, I came up with using ncftpput to upload my files.

Changing something on my page and uploading the files with ncftpput gives me a nice one-liner

hugo && ncftpput -u username -p password servername remotepath localpath

but I don't like writing my password as plaintext in my terminal.
Does anybody here know how to store my password in a more secure way and have ncftpput read it out?

thanks in advance
