Yup, feels great. You can find beginner-friendly reps on Good first issue.
Also, use Github advance search to find relevant repos. GFI (Good first issue) is meant for beginners only who want to contribute. Find here-goodfirstissue.dev/

There are also tags on issues opened on github, GFI and beginner-friendly etc.
Check them out.
