Recently, I noticed that all the images in my dev.to blogs are missing! π At first, I thought it was just a small glitch, but now Iβm wonderingβhas this happened to anyone else?
But the platform's image hosting had an issueβpossibly a server crash or temporary outage.
Is it a platform-wide issue, or just my account? Could it be a server crash? I have no idea! If youβre also facing this, let me know.
I trust this platform, but what is happening??? π
Also, does anyone know how to reach out to the dev.to team for help? If you have any suggestions, please share. Letβs figure this out together! π

We think this has to do with the edge network. Are you still having the issue?
And if you are still having the issue, does it help to turn off caching?
I cleared the cache, but it didnβt resolve the issue. However, after performing a hard refresh (
Ctrl + Shift + R
orCmd + Shift + R
on Mac), most of the images appeared. Some images are still showing as "Image Unreachable," but after decoding the image URLs, I found that they are hosted on AWS. Hopefully, they will load soon. Thanks for your suggestion.
This is really very bad news. Suddenly i check my posts and I see images vanish. Looks like its time to leave this website and better to use codepen always. These website owners doesn't seem to care at all.
Yes I too face this problem
Has it been resolved?
Yes, it resolved.
When you made a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R or Cmd + Shift + R on Mac), most of the images appeared. Only gif is still unreachable.
I'm facing the same problem too
I found someone reported this issue on the forum:
github.com/forem/forem/issues/21701
Hope it will be resolved soon.
