Why No One Reads Your Rubbish Technical Content - (Hidden Secret)

If the title got your attention, you are in for something unique. I have been writing a lot of content and realized that it is easier for a camel to pass the eyes of a needle than for people to read your content.

Trust me, creating readable content is hard unless you are a celebrity or a big company. If you are like me, then it is an arduous task.

Sometimes, I see many people viewing my content, and sometimes, I get to read my content alone.

What makes content readable?

Is there some hand-up above that drives the audience towards specific content, or do I have to include a half-naked picture of a BBL lady to gain traction?

I spent weeks reviewing everything I knew, and the more I tried to figure it out, the more I realized you reading this have not visited my blog. Before we continue, please spend some time on my blog.

OK, did you see some of the rubbish I wrote?

If not, check again, review the different sessions, and let me know how best to write some more rubbish.

Back to our gist.

Imagine pouring your heart and soul into creating great content, but no one reads it. You're not alone – this is a common frustration for writers and content creators.

But don't worry; there are ways to fix this and get more eyes on your work. Let's explore why your content might get overlooked and what you can do about it.

Ask Yourself: Is Your Content Good? Before we go any further, let's address the elephant in the room. Is your content genuinely high-quality and valuable to your target audience?

Be brutally honest with yourself. Would you read your work if you saw it online? If the answer is no, that's likely the primary reason no one reads it. Great content that provides authentic value and insights is the foundation for building an audience.

If you're confident your content is good but still not getting traction, read on.

You're Not Promoting It Effectively Even if you write a literary masterpiece, no one will read it if they don't know it exists. Are you actively promoting your content on social media, email lists, community forums, etc.?

You have to work to get your content in front of their eyes. Even if their eyes are closed, we can shove it down their ears via podcasts and explainers until they choke on it.

Your Titles and Intros Are Boring. When someone stumbles across your content, you only have a few seconds to grab their attention. Most people will keep scrolling if your titles and opening lines aren't compelling and exciting. Spend extra time crafting attention-grabbing titles and "hook" introductions.

How do I create compelling titles? I found a way to create new titles and am currently experimenting.

Go back and read my title. I make sure there is something provocative. If my title dragged you here, then it is working.

If not, then you can check my blog for more rubbish titles.

You're Not Solving a Specific Problem - The best content addresses your audience's pain point, question, or need. General "fluff" pieces rarely gain traction. Ensure every piece of content delivers clear value by teaching something new or solving a real problem.

Your Formatting is a Mess These days, readers have short attention spans. They want mind-blowing short content with many whitespace subheadings, short paragraphs, bullet points, etc. Large walls of text are an immediate turn-off. Format your content to be easily skim-able.

You're Not Consistent - Posting content sporadically makes it hard to build a loyal audience. Publish new content consistently so readers know when to expect your latest insights. Use content calendars and automation tools to help with this.

I write daily, even if I know some of you have decided not to read my content. I won't stop writing until you do.

OK, there you have it. That is all for today; if you enjoyed the write-up, please leave a comment, follow me on Twitter, and share.
