🚀 Boost Your Decision-Making Skills with This Simple Technique! 🎯

Facing multiple options and uncertain about which one to choose?
Feel like one of them is better, but not sure why?

Try to formulate the reasoning anyway! I noticed that:

I encourage you to try something I've found incredibly helpful: Take a moment to verbally outline the pros and cons of each choice and explain why one seems superior. When you do this, you'll:

  1. Gain a deeper understanding of the options at hand.
  2. Prepare yourself with well-thought-out reasoning for any inquiries.
  3. In the future, if your chosen option doesn't pan out as expected, you can revisit your initial rationale, refine it with newfound knowledge and experience, and make a more informed decision.

Give it a shot and let me know if it works for You as well!

Isn't this just a default thing everyone does? Like you see options, think about what's better and what's worse, and make a decision?

From my experience, not everybody does it. :)

Not everyone writes pros/cons or tries to approach the problem somehow methodologically.

In addition to that, I personally found a big value in actually writing down the thoughts and reasoning. When I do write the them down, then restructure them, sometimes I find something that I've missed. That's similar like doing arithmetic in one's head: so easy to make a mistake or forget intermediate result, but when You do it on paper it gets trivial.

And finally, when after a year or so somebody asks "why we did it like that", I can dig out the document, which unlike my mind doesn't forget the things. :)
