3.1. Romantic Love:

It's worth noting that while love is an inherently pure feeling, we often use it differently in our daily lives, categorizing it according to our unique perspectives. Thus, after conducting research and contemplation, I've organized love into ten distinct categories, distinguished nine types of love, and identified eight common motives that lead people to use the word "LOVE."

The first category we'll explore is Romantic Love. This is the affectionate and passionate love shared between romantic partners. In such relationships, both individuals are irresistibly drawn to each other. They partake in romantic activities such as dating, traveling together, sitting side by side in college, and sharing meals. They exist in their own world, cocooned in the sweet embrace of romance and attraction.

While this type of love can be incredibly fulfilling, it's not immune to toxicity. At times, one partner may impose their desires on the other, creating a toxic atmosphere. In some cases, these relationships may progress to physical intimacy.

However, in the long run, many romantic partnerships face challenges. Over time, the intense attraction they initially shared can wane. It's a common human trait that when we have something for an extended period, our interest tends to diminish. In relationships, the novelty of constant romance and attraction can fade.
As a result of my observations, it's clear that only a handful of romantic couples can withstand this natural erosion of attraction and remain committed for a lifetime. The majority, sadly, may experience a decline in their relationship's vitality, which can manifest in toxic behaviours or lead to parting ways in search of new experiences.

Love, particularly romantic love, is a complex and ever-evolving phenomenon. In the subsequent sections of this chapter, we will explore the other categories, types, and motives that shape the way we perceive and experience love.

This book aims to simplify the understanding of love, presenting it in a manner that resonates with readers from all walks of life. It's about exploring the intricacies of the heart in a language that everyone can relate to.
