What are Bitcoin ETFs?

Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETFs), also known as publically traded investment funds, allows investors to invest without holding bitcoin (BTC).

Cryptocurrencies are traded through cryptocurrency exchanges, as opposed to ETFs, which are traded at conventional stock exchanges such as the New York Stock Exchange or Nasdaq.

When you invest in an ETF, you are not actually buying Bitcoin. You are actually purchasing shares in a fund which owns bitcoin.

This regulated investment vehicle aims to remove technological barriers that are associated with cryptocurrency investing by allowing traditional investors to easily track the changes in bitcoin's price without having to buy and store it physically.
