Who's looking for open source contributors? (week 38)

Restarting something Ben was doing for a while, and we plan on doing this every Friday!

Open Source is about the community. Whether you have a project or you're looking to make your first PR.

Tell us about your project

Promote your project by providing a link to the repo. Everyone who posted in previous weeks is welcome back this week, as always πŸ˜„

Open Source should be a welcoming space for contributors. The README is the front door of your project. If you'd like to check out an example of a README, here's our OpenSauced/insights README.

If you submit please have the following in your repo to make it welcoming and helpful for contributors:

  1. README.md
  2. CONTRIBUTING.md

Finally, consider reading the Best Practices for Maintainers.

Happy coding!

I got many stars and some issues recently but missing a few helping hands.

Beyond that I got many packages for JavaScript and Meteor under the following orgs:

Hey, I am the author and maintainer of Mantine DataTable, one of the most popular data table components built for the awesome Mantine React library.

Mantine DataTable is built exclusively with Mantine primitive UI components, has no external dependencies, and supports asynchronous data loading, pagination, multiple rows selection, column sorting, custom cell data rendering, row context menu, row expansion, dark theme and more.

It's entirely written in TypeScript and the component properties are well typed and documented.

It undoubtedly gained part of its popularity due to the nice documentation website featuring lots of usage examples that I've managed to build over the last months:

Mantine DataTable

The repo recently passed 500 stars and the npm makes about 21k downloads per month.

I'd be delighted to have your support; code contributions are more than welcomed and having a few more sponsors backing the project would be fantastic :-)

This could work both ways - if you're using (or consider using) Mantine in your project, I'd be more than happy to offer my support in exchange for your sponsorship, or might even be available for hire - see more info here ;-)

I created a NextJS quiz app containing practice questions for the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) exam, I am looking for collaborators to improve it, add different quiz modes to it, add other exams, maybe add chatGPT and make it useful for the community:

You can find a few more repos on my github:

I've got over 85 open source repositories. Happy to have fellow devs work on stuff.

github.com/cubiclesoft

I would love to see someone work on this open issue:

github.com/cubiclesoft/createproce...

It's complex, hard, requires reverse-engineering parts of an OS, and, due to the nature of the bug, seems to be impossible to get a debugger into the situation to debug it.

I've got plenty of research-heavy projects as well that don't necessarily involve writing code.

Or just cheer me on! Everyone can always use a little morale boost.

One particular project we at multi would be glad to have contributors is Datami, source code is here on Gitlab

It's a web component made in Vuejs to visualise data (map, cards, charts...) stored on of Gitlab/Github APIs and make contributions / PR on this data, all of the above without having to install any backend. Full disclosure : I am lead dev on this project.

If you can't contribute but you liked this project just add a little star to the repo, that's good for moral :)

Cheers for this thread!

Just started working on a new open source project over the last couple of months -
'github.com/povimd9/FileChampion4j - a powerful and flexible Java library for validating and processing files'.

Important to note that I come from many years of cyber security background, but this is my first Java/open-source project. As such, while i tried following best practices of dev/supply-chain/open-source standards, i'm sure 'Mistakes were made' 😁

So any experienced devs with some time to spare, even for just doing review of some aspect of the project (from readme/wiki to design/code), will be much appreciated.
