Join us for the Coze AI Bot Challenge: $3,000 in Prizes!

We are thrilled to partner with Coze to bring the community our next AI challenge — this time, a challenge all about bots and building plugins or workflows related to bots!

Running through April 28, the Coze AI Bot Challenge will be an opportunity to try a bot development platform, build on top of GPT-4 for free, deploy something powerful, and win cash prizes. There are two prompts for this challenge, but four ways to win!

Coze offers a low-barrier way for developers to leverage AI models and build something incredible, so no matter your experience level, we really hope you give this a try!

Prompts

Bot Innovator

Stretch the limits of technology and build a powerful bot with a specific and compelling use case. Show us what your bot can do!

Judging Criteria

  • Use of underlying technology
  • Productization or Monetization Potential
  • Popularity potential of use case

Here is the submission template for anyone who wants to jump right in, but please review all challenge rules on the official challenge page before submitting.

Additional Prize Categories

In addition to being able to win each prompt, there are two more prize categories you can work towards:

  • Most Popular: awarded to a top submission with a high number of users.
  • Most Creative: awarded to a top submission with a unique and creative use case.

Pro Tip: get your submissions in early so you can get your project in the hands of users, sooner! If you're building a chatbot, we encourage you to deploy your project across social platforms and messaging apps like Discord, Telegram, and Slack so your friends and family can interact with your bot!

Prizes

Our four winners will receive the following prizes:

Prompt Winners (2)

  • $1,000 USD Gift Card or Equivalent
  • Exclusive DEV Badge
  • A gift from the DEV Shop

Additional Prize Category Winners (2)

  • $500 USD Gift Card or Equivalent
  • Exclusive DEV Badge
  • A gift from the DEV Shop

All Participants with a valid submission will receive a completion badge on their DEV profile.

How To Participate

In order to participate, you will need to publish a post using the submission template for your prompt. All bots participating in the challenge should be published in the Coze Bot Store, and all plugins should be published in the Coze Plugin Store. The Coze Workflow Marketplace is still a work in progress, so workflows only need to be shared as a direct link in your submission.

Everything you need to build your bot, plugin, or workflow is currently free on the Coze development platform so there are no barriers to getting started!

All submissions will be judged based on the free platform, so any use of Coze's API (paid service) will be taken into account during judging.

If the company is not interested to provide their services to India, it indicates they do not value India as valid user base. there is not point going the extra mile using a VPN to participate.

Yes, we do not want to use VPN to participate and break the Coze company policy either :)

Hello! 🌞
I noticed in the Trailblazer Template, that the link is wrong https://dev.to/devteam/join-us-for-the-coze-ai-bot-challenge-3000-in-prizes-4dp . It should have been https://dev.to/devteam/join-us-for-the-coze-ai-bot-challenge-3000-in-prizes-4dp7 .

I'm inclined to think it's not relevant for the judging criteria (since these are clearly stated) but hey I noticed and wanted to share. 😸 The Bot Innovator Template is fine.

This looks cool but the Coze website isn't loading for me unless it's on mobile, and this challenge would be difficult do on just a phone.

Edit: "No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource."

Thanks for the heads up. I fixed the link, looks like a funny redirect issue.

Still no dice. Going directly to coze.com in Chrome yields a blank screen and the console screaming about 17 instances of the following:
Access to script at 'sf-coze-web-cdn.coze.com/obj/coze-...' from origin 'coze.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource.
