Thanks a lot for this article! It was very useful.
I was wondering if you ever had any problems with visualizing the 4 wheels moving on rviz? Whenever I am running Gazebo using the diff driver plugin with 4 wheels, Gazebo doesn't give me any info about publishing the odom transforms between my base_link and my wheels and in RVIZ I can't see the wheels moving. If I use just 2 wheels it works fine, but with 4 wheels I got this problem (no transform from wheel_link to odom). I am using ROS2.
Hello, Did you find a solution? I am facing the exact same problem. I would be very thankful if you replied. (In RVIZ I am failing to connect the 4 wheels to the base link. i:e when I publish a command on /cmd_vel with a speed, the robot moves in gazebo in a good way, but on RVIZ it moves the base link without the wheels).
