I watched the movie Captain Fantastic and it made me disengaged even more with the capitalist ideas of labour. Even the week is an economic construct organized around the idea that in order to have 2 days of rest you need to sell your soul for 5.
I also completed reading Fernando Pessoa’s Book of Disquiet, continued reading from The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann, and started reading/listening to Watership Down together with my 8 year old.
I adored this movie. Really moving and honestly made me think a lot about how I want to raise my kids one day — maybe not exactly like Vigo did in this movie, but I definitely want to borrow certain aspects if I ever decide to have kids.
