Haha, they are currently funded by investors and that is how they pay the server costs. They are also working on another product which is gonna generate the revenue and the services offered now will remain free.

let me be sceptic on that. A company needs a revenue to avoid bankruptcy. If they are not selling data from clients and they are not charging their clients for any extra feature but having a free tier (like GitLab for example) how they stay up?
As investor I would not add money on any place with promises of future revenue from a non existent product tbh, let's be realistic on that please. Doesn't they add ads at least? 😆
I get your point, I just saw that they plan on generating revenue from taking a small cut in in-app purchases in apps in Deta Space. Still, we need to wait and watch

yup but they're up and running till 2 years ago isn't it? how they managed to stay up this time? I'm concerned about my private data in first hand
Hi, I'm with Deta and can try and explain.
We are currently funded by investors. Our long term plan is to charge an apps' users on Deta Space when they buy an app (as Anish mentioned).
When this happens, we would make money with the developer, which is very different from other clouds.
im developer and im super interested in this
