Lockdown actually gave me the time to be able to get something new out. For the longest time I have admired illustrators and decided to give it a go. I started with brush pens and have discovered a lot over the course of 2020. My kids have enjoyed using the brush pens too and I’ve started using watercolour pencils to see how they work for me. There’s so much to learn and practice on and I recently started an online illustration course.
I’m also trying my hand at learning to use vector design tools, for illustrations, designs and icons.
As hard as the year has been, there have been some silver linings. Like you said, we have had the time focus on ourselves which for me and my family was long overdue.
