Welcome to DEV Drew! What type of games do you like to make? I've always been interested in making games in JS, but haven't found a great game engine I like... any tips there?
I had been working on a retro-style RPG in my free time for a few years, similar to Earthbound, Pokemon, Super Mario RPG, etc. It came out on Steam earlier this year: store.steampowered.com/app/1064690...
We (a friend and I) used Create React App and wrapped the final output with Electron. It's nothing fancy - mostly simple divs and sprite sheets moving around on screen. It was simple enough to not need a physics engine or anything like that.
I haven't used it, but I know people love Phaser as a JS game engine: phaser.io/
Oh, that's awesome! I actually think I saw a talk, or podcast or something about your game (I definitely remember the graphics and that you built it with just React - but can't remember where I heard about it); that's really neat :)

Ah yeah, found it - it was syntax with Wes Bos :)
Congrats!
