Title: Building Floating Sky Skatepark – A Serious Game for Gender Bias Awareness

Title: Building Floating Sky Skatepark – A Serious Game for Gender Bias Awareness

I recently completed a prototype for a serious game aimed at challenging gender stereotypes in sports. The concept: players skate on floating parks powered by solar energy, navigating choices that affect skill, energy, and community.

The game is designed with educational popups to reinforce lessons about inclusivity, representation, and community-building, specifically highlighting that sports are for everyone, including Muslim women.

Core mechanics:
• Branching gameplay: Choose between performing tricks, high-speed runs, supporting peers, or skating solo.
• Dynamic storytelling: Your choices impact the ending—Master Skater, Solo Adventurer, or Inclusive Leader.
• Mini educational moments: Popups rotate with each action, gradually teaching about gender inclusivity, empowerment, and collaboration.

I built this using HTML and JS, focusing on accessible, lightweight prototyping. It’s part of my exploration into serious games that educate while entertaining, leveraging my unique perspective as a neurodivergent creator.

💬 I’m curious: How have you approached serious games for awareness or education? Any tips for scaling from prototype to full experience?
