I was using a Cooler Master sk621 (strange azerty ISO-fr layout 60% to accomodate arrow keys) until very recently. Personnaly, I don't use the numpad and the function row very often. So the format is perfect for me. I won't shrink to a real 60% layout, as I use arrow keys all the time. The keys are cherry mx silent red, so linear keys with no click sound. And the keycaps are flat. I do prefer flat keycaps, as in the mac environment.
Unfortunately, it died recently. Some keys I use every time for shortcut are not responding anymore. Perfect time to upgrade. I chose a Keychron k6 (qwerty ISO-uk 65% layout). I need some adaptation time, because of the different layout. But overall, the keyboard is way better. The switches are gateron red, so still linear and silent but with a lighter accentation force. I quite like that. It's also more silent and "thockier" than the Cooler Master, maybe it's due to a lube thing or the chassis construction.
I immediately ordered a k7 (qwerty ISO-uk 65% layout), which has flat keycaps and is really thin. Apple magic keyboard thin like. I could not recommand it enough for your usage
