Our product is a versatile solution that caters to the varied needs of individuals from different walks of life. By prioritizing convenience, we aim to make a positive impact on the daily lives of the elderly, office workers, students, and anyone seeking a more convenient approach to their daily routines.
My main focus was on the payment method, I was able to use "Python" to code a PayPal payment method.
In the inception of our brainstorming sessions, we embarked on a journey to identify a challenge that resonated with the lives of busy individuals. Transportation and the daily quest for nourishing meals emerged as significant pain points, and it wasn't long before we recognized the powerful synergy that could be forged by combining these two aspects. The genesis of our idea was rooted in the understanding that busy people not only grapple with time constraints in commuting but also yearn for a hassle-free approach to satisfying their culinary cravings.
For the Frontend we chose to use react and for Backend we used Flask because it's light weight and for the sake of learning something tangible developing with python an alternative would be Django.
We used MySQL for the database with sqlalchemy with it's wonderful 'orm' .
so one challenging or rather annoying but knowledge filled part of this build for us was our transition from using just plain HTML CSS and JavaScript to using react Emmanuel was writing flask as though to server a template then later got to know we were using react and had to start writing API'S and submitting endpoints to the front-end guy sharaff. along the line, our backend guy Emmanuel fell ill and the project was abandoned for a while .....thank God we got back better and stronger, and also balancing my school and this project was a bit difficult.
I learnt how to work as a team and I challenged my self a bit, I also learnt a little bootstrap. Actually, bootstrap is way easier.
I am Abaegbu Ezinne Diane, a 400 level Microbiology student of University of Port harcourt and also a software engineering student at ALX and just started tech and I hope to understand it more.
