wtf... not even the effort of having someone "interviewing" you. so sad we got to that point..
I really understand companies receive hundreds or thousands of applications in this globalized world but trying to filter out applicants like this is getting a bit too far imho.

Yep. It's getting popular in non-techy companies. They use it as an excuse to screen people without having to schedule calls. "Let's just make these 50 people record videos and we can go over them later at our leisure"

Worst case scenario, it could be used for discriminatory purposes.
