This article analyzes the evolution of the financial sector, moving from simple process automation to advanced agent systems with operational agency. The author defines an agent bank as an institution that integrates data and policies with an autonomous reasoning layer capable of proactive agency. A key element of this transformation is an "accountability architecture," encompassing explainability consoles and the Human in the Loop model, which guarantees full auditability of machine decisions.
