They will replace AirPods 2 and 3
Apple will introduce two versions of the AirPods 4 in September, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports in the latest issue of Power On.
AirPods 4 are set to replace the AirPods 2 and 3 models on the market. The new headphones will feature an active noise cancellation system in a more expensive version, but will be identical in appearance.
Both versions of the AirPods 4 will likely switch to a USB-C port in the charging case.
There are no plans to update the AirPods Pro lineup at this time.
