For that shell experience you can use mobaxterm,git bash or something else on windows. I personally find mobaxterm to be best in terms of providing Unix shell experience

I completely forgot one more option - WSL I haven't used it on hdd since I've switched to SSD. On ssd it's performance is really nice.
