Technical tests of all kinds are great for people just starting out in the industry but once you have a CV with 4 or 5 years with references you have already proved yourself. When I'm looking for a role now, if they ask me to do a technical test, unless it's a company I really like, I politely declined and explain my reasoning. 9 times out of 10 this is acceptable to the employers and they see my point.
