I use an xslt (> 1000 lines) script for transforming html to ... html, but then organised by titles and cluttered with menu's, css and other stuff. Html in and html out. Very fast and accepts all legit html. Also adds some javascript for small screens. The JIT version uses the 404 handler of apache and is very fast.
