How I Built 5 Apps in 3 Years With Almost No Users (And What I Finally Learned)

I have been building products for 3 years.

I have launched 5 apps.

None of them got more than 100 users.

Here is what I learned the hard way.

The Pattern

  1. Build an app
  2. Launch it
  3. Post "Just launched!" on Twitter
  4. Get 3 likes (from mom and my other 2 accounts)
  5. Give up
  6. Repeat

I did this 5 times.

What I Did Wrong

1. I thought building it was enough

Building a great product does not mean people will find it. You have to tell them about it.

2. I tried to market like a big company

I did not have a marketing budget. I did not have a team. I had to market like an indie dev.

3. I gave up too fast

Most marketing takes 3-6 months to show results. I gave up after 2 weeks.

What Finally Worked

1. Pick ONE platform

Do not try to be everywhere. Pick Twitter. Or LinkedIn. Or TikTok. Dominate one.

2. Be consistent

Post 3x per week for 3 months. That is the minimum.

3. Be useful

Share what you learn. Help others. Give before you ask.

4. Use tools

I built JustInSol to automate the content creation. Now I generate 10 viral scripts in minutes.

The Truth

Marketing is not magic. It is just showing up consistently and being useful.

Stop looking for hacks. Start being present.
