I am starting a 30-day marketing experiment.
No ads. No budget. Just content.
Here is what happened on Day 1.
What I Did
1. Posted on Twitter (6 times)
Launch announcement. Marketing tips. Viral formats. Questions.
2. Posted on Reddit (4 subreddits)
r/entrepreneur. r/SideProject. r/startups. r/indiehackers.
3. Posted on Facebook (4 places)
Personal profile. 3 groups.
4. Posted on dev.to (5 articles)
Marketing tips. Viral formats. Lessons learned. Content system.
5. Submitted to Hacker News
Waiting to see if it gets upvoted.
Day 1 Metrics
- Twitter impressions: TBD
- Reddit upvotes: TBD
- dev.to views: TBD
- Signups: TBD
What I Learned
1. You have to be everywhere
Different people use different platforms. You need to be where they are.
2. Consistency beats virality
One viral post is luck. Consistent posting is a strategy.
3. The hardest part is starting
Once you post the first thing, the rest gets easier.
Day 2 Plan
- Check engagement on Day 1 posts
- Post more content
- Try to engage with comments
- Reach out to potential users
Follow along if you want to see how this goes.
No fluff. Real numbers. Real results.
