Someone once said, talks are about inspiring people and not about teaching them.

If you have no idea how long your main points will take, get to them quickly and make everything after them optional. Like, show them some examples, case studies etc. When you're quick, the optional stuff will support your points if you're slow it still feels like you said everything you wanted to say.
