Really good read! I agree with your stance on college, as a self-taught dev i'm super happy i avoided college simply because i avoided the debt. I do envy some of my co-workers CS backgrounds though because it just gives them such an advantage when it comes to understanding things at a low-level and also with System Design and things like that.

I've faced a lot of these realities and realizations myself as well, so hearing about your experiences lets me know these are common things that happens.
