Blockchain is an immutable distributed-ledger technology. It maintains security and decentralization, and makes digital cryptocurrency transactions safer and more accessible. Immutability is attributed to blockchain because it is difficult to alter data and no third parties are involved.
After the transaction, personal information is not revealed. The nodes that process the transaction record the history. The data cannot be altered because the transactions have been proven. To alter one system would require the alteration of all systems, which is near impossible.
Blockchain technology was introduced in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto, who created the Bitcoin Blockchain. Blockchain is associated with Bitcoin. Since then, blockchain has become a part of the digital world.
