I literally made an account just to be able to tell you that your story was extremely motivating and meaningful to me. Firstly you are a terrific writer. Secondly, I too was in a dead-end, monotonous, call-center job and wanted a way out. I also quit with a plan to live off of my savings (did that for a little over a year), started applying for jobs and got one recently----I start on Monday (july 18th).....obviously I have to make a success of this job for it to truly, truly be an inspirational story-----but I just wanted you to know that your story inspired me to go from a job I absolutley hated to re-skilling and taking a chance at a different future. Thank-you so much for writing my absolute favorite piece on learning to code.
