i guess what i think is that i love Gentoo buts its a hassle especially on laptops where i dont have 10 cores and heaps of ram.
i dont really see that much difference in package managers for binary systems. Apt, Rpm and Pacman for the most part plug and play. if you need some specialized/exotic make it yourself. For me it i found that i was more famillar with the system design/layout with Sabayon rather than times i have tried Suse abd fedora etc.
i have used Sabayon as my laptop with entropy and a on desktop as preconfigured stage 4 install becuase i could be F**k to setup uefi boot on Gentoo and used portage ~amd64.
so it kinda does it all for me.
