The problem with inline CSS is you lose access to every pseudo element, pseudo selector, state, and media queries.
Personally I use CSS-in-JS so the class naming thing isn’t an issue, but even if you were writing regular CSS it seems like a pretty minor problem compared to the sort of things Tailwind introduces
