ManThink Opens Free Deployment of ThinkLink, a Fully Localized IoT Platform

ManThink Technology has officially released ThinkLink, a fully localized IoT platform, and made a free deployment package available to industry users (Contact: info@manthink.cn).

ThinkLink is designed for autonomous, on-premise deployment and long-term operation. It targets LoRaWAN and multi-protocol IoT scenarios, providing a stable, low-cost, and highly controllable system foundation.

As IoT projects increasingly require localization, private deployment, and long-term maintainability, ThinkLink offers an alternative to cloud-only platforms and fragmented open-source stacks.

  1. Platform Overview

ThinkLink is an IoT platform designed for real-world engineering scenarios, covering device access, network management, data processing, and application presentation.

The platform natively integrates a LoRaWAN Network Server and unifies network-layer capabilities with application-layer logic at the system level. This design eliminates the complexity of multi-system integration and reduces configuration and maintenance overhead.

ThinkLink supports device models, RPC, asset management, sub-device management, alarms, dashboard visualization, and automation, enabling it to independently support complete IoT deployments.

  1. Core Capabilities 2.1 LoRaWAN Network Server

ThinkLink provides native LoRaWAN Network Server functionality and supports major frequency bands including CN470, EU868, US902, AS923, and AU915.

The platform offers full LoRaWAN packet tracing, allowing users to inspect network-layer data such as frequency, port, uplink and downlink status, and signal quality. This is essential for debugging, optimization, and large-scale operations.

ThinkLink also supports LoRaWAN FUOTA, covering firmware version management, upgrade task distribution, and progress tracking for full device lifecycle management.

2.2 Data Parsing and Device Models

ThinkLink enables script-based payload parsing to convert raw LoRaWAN data into structured application-level data.

Multiple device models can be attached to a single device, allowing parsed data to be used directly for visualization, alarms, and automation without additional middleware.

2.3 RPC and Remote Control

The platform includes a complete RPC framework supporting remote configuration, control commands, device reboot, operating mode changes, and firmware-related operations.

RPC logic can be customized to meet specific project requirements, making it suitable for centralized device management scenarios.

2.4 EB Virtual Machine and Cloud Compilation

ThinkLink supports the EB (Embedded Business) virtual machine and provides cloud-based compilation for EB code, eliminating the need for local build environments.

Using EB, ThinkLink can integrate devices via RS-485, M-Bus, 4–20mA, 0–10V, and DI interfaces, enabling legacy meters and instruments to connect to LoRaWAN networks without hardware replacement.

2.5 Platform Integration and Compatibility

ThinkLink supports integration with ThingsBoard, Home Assistant, BACnet, and Modbus TCP, and includes a high-performance MQTT forwarder.

Any MQTT-capable device or gateway can be integrated through forwarding and model-based configuration, with flexible extension to third-party platforms.

At the device level, ThinkLink supports LoRaWAN 1.0.2 and above, without restricting device brands, avoiding vendor lock-in.

2.6 Visualization and Automation

ThinkLink includes a dashboard system with card-based data presentation, supporting charts and tables. Multiple dashboards can be configured with automatic rotation.

Automation rules based on data conditions enable coordinated device actions, such as triggering control or alarms when thresholds are exceeded.

  1. Engineering Value of Free Deployment

ChirpStack is widely used as an open-source LoRaWAN Network Server, but it often requires additional application platforms to build a complete system, increasing complexity and maintenance costs.

ThinkLink adopts an integrated platform architecture, combining network, application, and device logic into a single system, delivering improved usability and operational efficiency.

Notably, ThinkLink has very low system resource requirements and can run directly on a LoRaWAN gateway. For small and medium deployments, a single gateway can function as a complete IoT system without additional servers.

  1. Value for Global Metering and Sensor Markets

LoRaWAN is widely adopted in global metering and sensor markets. ThinkLink enables manufacturers and system integrators to deliver complete IoT solutions with reduced deployment complexity.

By providing an end-to-end system from device access to remote operations and visualization, ThinkLink enhances solution competitiveness and delivery efficiency.
