5 Tools That Became a Part of My Life — And I Helped Build Them

I've been an active user of DEV.to for over two years now. If you've spent any time there, you'll know how overwhelming (but exciting) it is - every day brings a wave of brand new tools, startup ideas, and clever little side projects.
Some fade away.
But some stick.
Sometimes, you discover something that gradually becomes part of your life. It's no longer just a product - it's a habit. A ritual. Maybe even a quiet form of self-care.
In my case, that "something" happened to be a set of tools I helped build myself.
Let me explain.
Over the past few years, I've been working on Runtopia.org - a platform focused on making health, fitness, and creativity more enjoyable through AI. What started as a running tracker evolved into a suite of apps that I now use every single day - not just because I'm the maker, but because they genuinely make my life better.
Here are the five tools I now can't live without:

👟 Runtopia - Reward-Based Running Tracker
This was the original spark.
Yes, it's a GPS-powered running app, but here's the twist: it rewards you for moving. Every step you take earns Sports Coins (SPC), which you can redeem for gift cards, fitness gear, or discounts.
It gamified exercise in a way that stuck with me. I even paid for coffee with SPC last week. ☕
It turns running into a habit I want to stick to - not one I have to.

🧠 RunBox - AI Running Coach in Your Pocket
If you've ever tried to follow a training plan, you know how hard it is to stay on track.
RunBox solved that problem for me. It uses GPT-4 to build dynamic training plans based on your fitness level and goals. Whether you're training for a 5K or just want to move more consistently, it adapts to your pace and gives feedback like a real coach.
It feels like having a personal trainer - minus the pressure or gym membership.

💧 AI Water - Smart Hydration Assistant
This one surprised me.
I didn't think I needed a hydration reminder - until I realized how often I forgot to drink water. AI Water analyzes your routines, sends timely nudges, and syncs with your other fitness data.
Small app. Huge impact. I feel more energized during the day just because I hydrate better.

😴 SleepMaster - AI-Powered Sleep Tracker
I used to check my sleep stats on Apple Health - and not really understand what they meant.
SleepMaster changed that. It gives meaningful insights: when to go to bed, when I'm actually resting, and how my habits affect my sleep cycles. It even recommends micro lifestyle tweaks.
Since using it, I've genuinely seen improvements in how I feel waking up.

🎨 Pixnova - AI Avatar & Video Generator
Okay, this one's just fun - but isn't fun part of wellness too?
Pixnova transforms your selfies into anime heroes, 3D avatars, or even toy-box action figures. The AI-generated videos are ridiculously cool. I've used it to create content for TikTok and IG, and people always ask me how I did it.
It's like digital cosplay without ever leaving your desk.

✨ Final Thoughts
These tools - built with love, data, and AI - have become part of my rhythm. Part of my flow.
And yeah, I use them because they work - not just because I'm on the team that made them.
Or drop me a comment and tell me what you've found on Product Hunt that stuck with you. Maybe we'll trade favorites.

✍️ PS: This post isn't a pitch. It's just a love letter to tools that changed my routine.
