Discussion on: How do you track your progress?

Exactly what I was going to say. Sometimes I revise old projects and I generally have two reactions:

  • Did I do that? That's horrible! How could I? I'm much better now.
  • Man this code is really clean and full of good ideas, I'm happy I didn't destroy this.

Also having blog as a dev journal is useful. Yesterday I was reading some old posts and gave me perspective on how I work and how I present my work to others.

Old code and old posts give very useful insights in general.

And about growth... I feel like I don't choose technologies to learn, but technologies choose me hahahaha

In other words, I don't have a plan, I just learn what I find attractive.
