On June 13, 2023, EC2 Instance Connect will be enabled for EC2 instances on private subnets.
EC2 Instance Connect is a function that enables SSH to EC2 instances from the management console.
With conventional EC2 Instance Connect, it was only possible to connect to EC2 on public subnets.
However, with the new EC2 Instance Connect endpoint, EC2 Instance Connect is now possible for EC2 instances on private subnets as well.
Regarding secure SSH to EC2 instances on private subnets, there have been methods such as using a bation server and session manager, but a new method called EC2 Instance Connect has been added.
