Currently a Software Developer recently promoted from a Junior, using PHP as my primary language. Also studying part time with the Open University predominantly taught using Java and Python.
Great article, I would also add unit testing to the list especially if the job spec asks for it. People won't just take your word that you unit test so make sure you put them in the task!

Yes depends on the level of the developer. It's not a must for me especially when it is a junior dev ;)
But I will add it in the second part!
