I'd say:

• don't go to tutorial hell

• ignore the newest framework or whatever ( hyped up stuff + buzzwords)

• it's almost always better to start from scratch

• don't learn something because it's trendy

• stars or followers or whatever DONT MATTER

• if you'd like to make games , then learning react ain't gonna help you ( I've seen a lot of people do things like this)

• don't quit

• remember to have fun!

• never quit
