Yeah yeah, I know… yet another ‘startup’ in the wild. But hear me out

Hey everyone — quick real talk.

I’m Priyesh. From a small town, living in Bangalore now. I’ve started building a free, no-ads rental platform because I’m tired of seeing students/families get lost in WhatsApp forwards, brokers, and sketchy listings. In India a lot of renting is still manual and messy, and I want to fix that, simple, trustworthy, and low-data friendly.

Reality check: I’m solo. No money, no team. I’m still learning. This is not a job post, I don’t have pay to offer. What I do have is time, work already started (sketches, proto notes, some code), and a real itch to build something useful.

I’m looking for people who want to build with me as equals, not employees. If you’re someone who:

  • likes shipping stuff,

  • learns on the go,

  • hates pointless startup noise,

  • and actually cares about solving real problems…

…then we should talk.

I want builders, not box-checkers. If you can code, design, run communities, or architect systems — amazing. But if you don’t have a long list of skills, bring the mindset: the curiosity to learn, the patience to test, and the stubbornness to ship. We’re trying to build something that actually helps people at scale, and that takes messy, steady work more than flashy credentials. Your time, your attention to detail, and the willingness to try and fail with us matters more than anything.

If you’re interested, reply here with 1–2 lines about what you do or just DM me. I’ll reply to everyone.

I’m not here to hype this up, we’ll make mistakes, mess things up, learn fast, and iterate together. If you want to build something real (not just a resume project) and actually help people find homes without scams or ads, let’s do it. Let’s make mistakes, learn from them quickly, and keep improving as we go.

Thanks for reading. 🏡✨

wanted to quickly share what I’m actually working on, not just some idea floating in my head.

So here’s the gist: I’m building a free, no-ads rental platform that helps people find homes — students, families, workers — anywhere, not just big cities. Something simple, trustworthy, and easy to use.

Why this even matters:

  • In India, most people still rely on WhatsApp forwards, local brokers, or paper posters. It’s slow, messy, and sometimes expensive.

  • Fake listings and unclear info are everywhere. People waste time or lose deposits visiting bad places.

  • Tons of users only have low-data phones and just want WhatsApp to work.

  • Language and trust barriers make even finding a decent home stressful.

Here’s what I’m trying to do:

  • Make posting easy: owners can upload photos, short videos, or even a voice note. Should take <5 minutes.

  • Make searching simple: filters for budget, type, area, commute, plus map & list view.

  • WhatsApp fallback: even if someone doesn’t use the app, they can still see listings and contact owners.

  • Verified tags: lightweight checks + some AI moderation to cut down scams.

  • Low-data first: compressed images, server-side rendering, PWA so it works on slow networks.

  • Local languages: listings & UI in multiple languages so more people can use it.

  • Automation & self-managing ops: so even if it grows big, one person or a tiny team can handle it.

What I’ve done so far:

  • Notes, sketches, some proto ideas, and a few lines of code. It’s moving, not just talk.

Who this is for:

  • People who want to help users actually find homes without dealing with brokers.

  • Builders who enjoy shipping small things, iterating fast, and learning along the way.

  • Anyone who cares about usefulness more than hype.

I’ll keep posting updates as things move. No hype, no pitch — just trying to build something that actually helps people. ✌️
