I believe I have stated it is a problem I have. I am easily distracted and the flexibility of Linux makes it to easy for me to stray on the things I shouldn’t be bothering with. Procrastination is a good word, I agree.

The problem with your answers here is that the tone paints it as “it slows you down because this is somewhat necessary”.
The fact is, you tweak it because you want to tweak it. Is it a form of procrastination?
Don’t get me wrong. There will be a lot of people who will read your article and take your “tweaking needs” as a necessity.
