Hi! Great article, but I think that some statements are not accurate. As you are using the standard library for net operations, the join! are not executing the two futures that you passed. It starts executing foo and stops there because there is no yield so due to that it never starts executing bar so no listener is present for 8081. In order to change this behavior, you need to change the std::net library for the tokio::net because it allows us to yield the execution.
