I have only tested the existing script on macOS Big Sur which uses zsh. Many Linux distros use Bash currently, but a lot of devs are on zsh anyway due to the Powerline fonts and themes.
Ofc, there are small differences in shells and configurations even among distributions of Linux, though, so there may be some things to iron out.
