C#/Dotnet is very capable, well documented and easy to learn i would say, for the average programmer. For me, coming from C++ and Js, it was super easy at least :) there is a lot of functionality right out of the box, and extending with libraries is also very easy.
Js/node for a backend i have less than Stellar experience with. It seems a lot more effort. More than it should be.
