there is no official HTTP protocol extension to send this information to the nodes, however a very common way is to add new HTTP headers like X-Forwarded-For, X-Forwarded-Host, X-Forwarded-Proto, X-Real-IP and X-Client-IP as this information is very often vital on the nodes.
