Kim Ha Sung broke the silence and became a hit

Kim Ha-sung started as the first second baseman and recorded one hit in four at-bats in an away game against the St. Louis Cardinals at Bush Stadium on the 29th (Korea Standard Time). San Diego won 4-1, and Kim Ha-sung had a batting average of 0.274 (119 hits in 507 at-bats).

Kim Ha-sung hit a hit in his first at-bat. St. Louis starter Adam Wainwright's 84.8-mile high fastball outside the first pitch led to a hit flowing to the center fielder slightly exceeding the height of the second baseman. However, he could no longer advance due to the failure of the follow-up hit.

It is the first time in five days that Kim Ha-sung has made a hit since the match against the Miami Marlins on the 24th. After hitting a left-handed double in the bottom of the first inning against Miami, he only got five walks in 17 at-bats until the Milwaukee Brewers game the previous day, but his batting average fell to 0.274 because he failed to make a hit.

In the third inning, when Trent Grisham, the leader, walked on base, he steadily succeeded in a sacrifice bunt and continued his chance with one out and second base. When Wainwright's second 82.6 mile cutter flew toward his body, a light hit floated slightly and fell in front of the third baseman, allowing the leading runner to enter the second base leisurely. But San Diego failed to take advantage of the chance.

In the fifth inning, he hit a slow curve that fell into the middle of Wainwright's two-ball 69-mile, but soared high and became a center fielder fly. In the sixth inning with a 1-0 lead, he was out with a grounder to third base with the runner loaded after two outs. In the ball count 1B1S, the first baseman was out at second base as he forcibly pulled a 71-mile high curve thrown by Wainwright for the third pitch and became a ground ball.

In his fifth at-bat in the eighth inning, he stepped down with a grounder to shortstop. Kim Ha-sung made a mistake in defense, leaving a regret. In the bottom of the fifth inning, St. Louis' leadoff hitter Maisin Win caught and missed a 99.5-mile grounder. However, it did not lead to a loss. It was Kim Ha-sung's seventh mistake this season, and he is the fourth second baseman.

San Diego scored the first run with Matt Carpenter's right-handed hit in the top of the sixth inning with one out and runners on first and third base, and added one run with Garrett Cooper's timely hit in the seventh inning to lead 2-0. San Diego's Robert Suarez allowed a solo home run to Paul Goldschmidt in the bottom of the eighth inning with a 2-0 lead, but added two runs with Cooper's timely hit with one out and a full base in the top of the ninth inning.

Closer Josh Hader took the mound in the bottom of the ninth inning and neatly blocked it with one hit, two strikeouts and no runs in one inning to secure a three-run victory and mark 28 saves of the season.

San Diego starter Blake Snell blocked seven innings with two hits, five walks, nine strikeouts and no runs, winning 11 games (9 losses) of the season and lowering his ERA, the No. 1 in both leagues, to 2.60. The second Cy Young image of his life became closer.

San Diego lost three games in a row and marked 62 wins and 70 losses. The gap with the third-place Chicago Cubs in the NL wild card has narrowed to 7.5 games.
