Thank you for such an honest and heartfelt story. I feel like today's culture makes failure a forbidden subject...we present lives on social media where everything is perfect and we use filters to hide all of the imperfections which make us unique in photos. I knew people who would go to the airport for lunch so they could check in on Instagram and pretend they were travelling somewhere...it's sad.
After becoming very frustrated in the corporate world, I am looking at freelancing. It's frightening and I know I will learn many things the hard way. My own parents won't even support me and think I'm delusional, so it's doubly hard having to push family away to pursue my dreams.
I am bookmarking this because I feel like I will need to be reminded of many of these lessons. Also, you have a very handsome cat!
Yes freelancing is scary but what is the worst thing that can happen? Fail? I always remind myself how many times some famous scientists failed their experiments before finding a cure or a discovery.
The concept of 'Fail' is very relative, for me is just another step in the process of making.
