Not sure about the status of your projects? Do you want a results-focused culture? Are you chasing updates every week?
Think how many people tries to move trello card and gather info from them. Same with slack/hipchat/rocket.chat. I had so many times when I needed to know the status of the project but also had to move cards or let others know. Kinda like how basecamp deals with this.
Just giving updates won't solve the problem people have. If it's that, then kanban boards are already serving that purpose. We need to think how people will use this on a daily basis.
