I'd suggest Lunacy as a better alternative than most of these. It's freemium, and because it's .NET based it takes a minute for a usable UI to load on Linux (supports Windows and Mac too), but it's a very mature tool with lots of excellent free features.
But isn't that the case with any of them? Most people thought Figma was awesome, until they got bought by Adobe. Penpot looks awesome but is still in beta. Wireflow and Akira also look great but seem abandoned. So we don't really know how any of them will turn out in the future.
