Cover letters are really important. At CV Compiler, we give our users the following cover letter formula:

  • specify the position you're applying for;
  • tell the company why you want to work for them, (after doing meaningful research);
  • highlight your most relevant skills and accomplishments;
  • keep the letter short;
  • end it with a call to action.

There’s a great cover letter template in The Google Resume book (on page 92).
