You might have missed the conclusion. We are open to suggestions and we have written in the conclusion that you can suggest influencers that we can include.

Also, this post is regarding JavaScript Influencers. So, kindly suggest any JavaScript influencer you have in mind and we will include him/her.

About intentions: Neither we promote racism nor we are gender bias, so there is no need to point it out. We haven't intentionally opted out any based on color or gender.

Thank you. 🙂

Thank you for your answer.

I’m still curious about your research process. How did you choose the folks? And, now that you brought it up, who you perceive as influencer? Is it the following base on Twitter?

Well, if you’re curious, I trust you’ll google it! Try for instance: “women to follow in tech”, or “black JS devs Twitter”. That’s the best way to fulfill your curiosity — you don’t need to ask other people to do this for you!

However, even though I typically don’t do other people’s homework, here are a few JS devs who are not white cishet men just to get you started:

  • Sophie Alpert (60,7k followers)
  • Monica Powell (9k)
  • Tae’lur Alexis (51,3k)
  • Samantha Ming (22,5k)
  • Gift Egwuenu (18,3k)
  • Christian Nwamba (39,8k)
  • Ania Kubow (31,9k)
  • Kapehe_ok (11,3k)
  • Cassidy Williams (152,3k)
  • Laurie Barth (22,3k)
  • Kelsey Hightower (122,4K)
  • Kefimochi (18k)
  • Sara Vieira (34,4K)
  • Amelia Wattenberger (15,3k)
  • Nicole Archambault (12,9k)
  • Marcy Stutton (22,1k)
  • Mandy Mitchell (11,3k)
  • Molly Struve (15,8k)

I hope that you are still curious! And that you will follow them.

Great! I’d also appreciate an answer to my two questions:

  • what was your research process?
  • how do you define an “influencer” in this context?

Thanks,

A1. JavaScript Influencer
A2. Based on the popular framework they had created, supported, and few others to diversify as much as we can.

I request you to consider that a list can be different based on the compilation of the authors and we're just creating a list that can be helpful to other developers. We have not considering black, white, women, or man.

We're open to update and improve just request you all to not move this topic in another direction 🙏
