Hi everyone, I’m Alistair Kaelen, Founder & CEO of SQHWYD.
My background is in quantitative finance and market microstructure. For years I worked on high-frequency and multi-asset strategies, which naturally led me into low-latency architecture, data pipelines and real-time risk systems. SQHWYD is where those threads converge.
We’re building an AI-native Cognitive Finance ecosystem with three main pieces of infrastructure:
an intelligence layer that ingests market, on-chain and behavioural data,
a unifying layer that routes between CeFi and DeFi liquidity,
and an asset model designed for tokenized real-world and digital assets sharing the same rails.
On dev.to I’ll focus less on marketing and more on engineering:
microservices and event-driven design for trading workloads,
risk-aware integration with DeFi protocols,
data architecture for multi-modal machine learning,
and how we think about reliability, observability and safety in production.
